Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma Arsing from Caroli's Disease

Abstract
|

|
Caroli's disease ios a congenital disease of the intrahepatic biliary tree characterized by the bile duct with maintain communication with the remalnder of the bilary drainage system.
About the 220 cases of Caroli's disease now reported in the worid literature, 20 cases complicated by cholangiocarcinoma have been descrived. Author has experieced an cholagiocarcinoma arising from Caroli's disease in 30 years old man. We report
our
case, review the world literature to determin the incidence of malignancy complicating Caroli's Dz, descrive the clinical and pathophysiologic characteristics of patients with Caroli's disease and hepatobiliary carcinoma.
